DETROIT – Cadillac announced today it will provide owners of all 2011 models with frequently required maintenance services for the first four years or 50,000 miles as it seeks to build the best customer service experience in the luxury segment.
The program, called Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance, covers scheduled oil changes, tire rotations, replacement of engine and cabin air filters and a multi-point vehicle inspection.
“Cadillac is adding Premium Care Maintenance as a way to extend customer service beyond the sale,” said Kurt McNeil, vice president of Cadillac sales and service. “The program is designed to raise satisfaction for owners by ensuring access to expert service. It should lead to higher loyalty rates for dealers by establishing them as a valued resource for our customers.”
Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance launches with the arrival of the 2011 model Cadillacs. The CTS family, which is being expanded this year to include the all-new CTS Coupe, will be the first of the 2011 models to arrive at U.S. dealerships in late summer.
Maranello, June 16th 2010 – A ceremony took place today to officially name the University of Modena’s Faculty of Engineering in honour of Enzo Ferrari in recognition of the Prancing Horse founder’s steadfast commitment to its creation.
Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo and vice-chairman Piero Ferrari both attended. The latter, in fact, remembered his father’s passionate determination that Modena should have its own faculty of engineering: “My father always believed in young people – right from the time he founded the company. Proof of that is that he called in Luca di Montezemolo as his assistant when he wasn’t much over 20.” For his part, Montezemolo stressed how Enzo Ferrari’s teachings are still very much alive in the company even though it has changed over the years, adding that the founder would most certainly approve of the firm as it now stands. “I learned a lot from Enzo Ferrari,” he continued. “I learned to give young people responsibility, to never give in, to always look ahead. Naming the faculty of engineering after Enzo Ferrari is a great acknowledgement both of the founder himself and Ferrari as a whole. Like all the other companies in the area, our relationship with the University is fundamental. It’s an open University that will always be able to count on its relationship and dialogue with Ferrari.”
Montezemolo encouraged the many students attending the ceremony to focus on their work, set themselves ambitious goals and keep dreaming. “It’s important for the company, for Modena and for the nation as a whole that young people that deserve to are given the opportunity to shine.”
At the end of the ceremony, the head of the faculty, Professor Giuseppe Cantore, presented his illustrious honorary degree holders with a commemorative plaque.
The Twilight Saga is one of the most popular film franchises and once again Edward Cullen drives a Volvo XC60.
Search on the Internet using the string “Volvo/Twilight/Eclipse” and you will get more than two million hits, including photographs and lengthy fan discussions of the exact colour nuance of Edward Cullen’s Volvo. The interest is astonishing.
“The opportunity to participate in such a successful film franchise is a wonderful opportunity. Since Edward drives a Volvo in the novels, our participation is both credible and logical,” says Oliver Engling, project manager for Volvo Car’s “Lost in Forks” promotional campaign that is tied to the upcoming release of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse which has its world premiere on June 30.
In the novels, the hero Edward Cullen drives a Volvo S60R – the previous S60 model. However, when the time came to make the films, Volvo was no longer producing the S60R so a Volvo C30 was used in the first film and a Volvo XC60 in the next two.
