Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept revealed for Auto Shanghai debut


Mercedes-Benz has released the first images of  GLA Concept which will make its public debut on Saturday at 2013 Auto Shanghai

An appealing crossover with muscles, 20-inch alloys covered by 255/45 R20 tires and bits and pieces from other cars based on this platform like the aforementioned A-Class and the CLA-Class sedan.

The crossover is 172.4 inches (4.38 meters) long, 77.6 inches (1.97 meters) wide and 61.8 inches (1.57 meters) tall, with a 106.3-inch (2.69 meters) wheelbase. Power comes from an inline-four 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine borrowed from the A250 producing 211 HP (155 kW). It’s linked to a 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox sending power to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

The production version will be revealed in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
