
A business document sourced back to Microsoft showed some information on the next Xbox 720 and Kinect 2. The presentation was showing August 2010 date, and representing future features for the next generation console like SmartGlass, a Metro dashboard, and Xbox TV apps.
Xbox 720 according to the document will including support for Blu-ray, native 3D output and glasses, concurrent apps, and additional sensor and peripheral support, A true 1080p output with full 3D support.
The core hardware that it will be scalable in the number of CPU cores and their frequencies. Eight x86 cores clocked at 2GHz each with 4GB of DDR4 memory alongside three PPC cores clocked at 3.2GHz each for backwards compatibility with existing Xbox 360 titles.
Illustrations appear to be a concept design used in 2010 and an expecting price of $299 including Kinect 2 hardware and a 10-year lifecycle.
